L.O.W.F.I founder Skylaire Alfvegren has requested that I make this page for myself here at the L.O.W.F.I website... so here goes.

I met Skylaire a good while ago, and we've been close friends ever since. And being a Fortean since I was 10 years old, (having watched an anomalous aerial object do it's stuff at that time), I decided a good while ago that it would be altogether fitting and proper to help her achieve a few Fortean goals. This collaboration has led to the creation of this website and its companion blogs, as L.O.W.F.I had for far too long been just a dream.

Artifacts on the Moon. From Russia's probe Luna 13 in late December 1966Since that first experience, I've read extensively and have an interest in nearly all of the anomalous aspects of our world, with current specialties in the Moon, Mars, other solar system locations, UFOs and plasma life forms... with further interests in cryptids, very ancient and very lost civilizations and the origins of both ourselves and the universe at large.

I am lucky enough to count many of the visionaries of Fortean thought as my friends and colleagues.

Professionally, I am a web designer and sometimes a writer, video editor and voice actor.

What else have I done? I've been a photographer, wrote a column for a paper, student filmmaker as shooter, editor and recordist, motion picture audio rental technician, location VTR operator on a few TV shows and documentaries, master automotive technician, editor and publisher of a car club's magazine, sound system installer, a mobile recording truck's shop technician...

All of which somehow led to doing business as IFM Productions in May of 2005, offering all those things as services to my clients.

I currently live in southwestern Connecticut, but I'd rather be way out west, or maybe somewhere equatorial. We'll see.

Iggy Makarevich blogs at What's All This, Then? and at High Strangeness.
