Gary David speaking tomorrow night at LA MUFON on “The Kivas of Heaven: Ancient Hopi Starlore”

I devoured Mr. David’s books, Eye of the Phoenix: Mysterious Visions and Secrets of the American Southwest and The Orion Zone: Ancient Star Cities of the American Southwest. He resides in Arizona and I am thanking my proverbial stars that he’s coming to Los Angeles to speak at MUFON Los Angeles.

gary_david
“After being intrigued by the Four Corners region of the United States for nearly fifteen years, Gary David moved to Arizona in 1994 and began an intensive study of the ancestral Pueblo People and their descendants, the Hopi. Join Arizona author and independent investigator Gary A. David as we explore Native American cosmology and prophecy traditions that might be able to tell us something important about Earth changes that may be coming our way.

Orion dominates the winter sky, flanked by Taurus the Bull on one side and Canis the Great Dog on the other–three key constellations for the Hopi and prehistoric Pueblo Peoples of the American Southwest. When these stars appear in the entryway to the kiva roof, they synchronize the sacred rituals being performed below. Here we see how a complex ceremonial cycle mirrors the turning of the heavens.

Gary A. David has travelled extensively throughout the Desert Southwest, studying the archaeological ruins and the rock art of the Anasazi and the culture of their descendants, the Hopi. David is familiar with fascinating and little-known facts about the Hopi, one of the most mysterious and secretive tribes on the North American continent. Gary will be discussing how a group of ancestral Hopi stone villages was constructed over a period of centuries in a pattern that mirrors the shape of the star constellation Orion. He will talk about Hopi kachinas, various cryptozoological creatures of Hopi legend such as the Ant People, the Hopi underworld god who resembles an ET Grey, Hopi “flying shields,” and rock carvings depicting “star elders” and their craft. You will come away with a deep appreciation of how the Ancient Ones viewed the world above.”

UFOs — the Nighttime Sniffling, Sneezing, Coughing, Aching, Fever Remedy

UFOs — the Nighttime Sniffling, Sneezing, Coughing, Aching, Fever Remedy

California, as one might suspect, consistently outnumbers every other state for UFO sightings; add our sacred native sites, a history of megalomaniacal capitalists, tectonic tangos and the phantasmagoric entity known as Hollywood, and you’ve got one bizarre metropolis. (Investigator Nick Nocerino notes that there are more “demonic” entities in Hollywood than anywhere else on Earth. How else do you explain the Smurfs movie?) Preston Dennett is a Renaissance man of the weird: homegrown MUFON field investigator, paranormal researcher, “out-of-body explorer” and the author of 10 books, including the indispensable Supernatural California. Dennett delved into 110 cases where humans had been “cured” of everything from the flu to cancer after their interaction with an unidentified flying whatsit, or its occupants. Tonight, he presents a lecture based on the book and his findings.

“UFO Healings: True Accounts of People Healed by Extraterrestrials” is but one in a long, long line of well-researched monthly presentations hosted by L.A. MUFON, the local chapter of the Mutual UFO Network, which is “dedicated to resolving the scientific enigma known collectively as UFOs.”

Aliens Abduct Sammy Hagar, Bring Him Back

sammy-hagar-color1

This man looks capable of making use of all the secrets of the universe…

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – No doubt Sammy Hagar, a former lead singer for Van Halen, has enjoyed a lot of far out experiences in life, but on Monday, the rocker told perhaps his farthest out tale to MTV. He was abducted by aliens.

Or, at least, his brain was.

In an interview for his new book, “Red: My Uncensored Life in Rock” at mtvhive.com, Hagar lets go of what even he admits might make him “sound like a crazy person” to some readers.

He and the reporter are talking about dreams he claims to have had about UFOs, and when asked whether he believed he had been abducted, Hagar answers: “I think I have.”

The reporter seemed surprised. “What? Really? I was kidding. You seriously believe that?” he asks.

Hagar laughs and goes on to explain that a passage in the book described as a dream in which he is contacted by aliens from outer space in California was, in fact, reality.

The tale describes how the beings tapped into his mind through a wireless connection.

“It was real,” Hagar told the reporter, according to the story on MTV’s Hive website. “They were plugged into me. It was a download situation … Or, they uploaded something from my brain, like an experiment.”

Hagar goes on to describe another experience at the age of four where he believes he saw an alien space ship in broad daylight hovering over a country field where his family lived.

The rock guitarist and vocalist is no stranger to wild times. He was a part of several bands, including Montrose, during the “sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll” era of the 1970s and 1980s, and during its heyday Van Halen was among the biggest acts in rock music.

In his book and in the interview with MTV’s Hive, Hagar lets the stories fly on the sex and drugs he did during those years, and he even has a few not-so-nice things to say about another Van Halen lead singer, David Lee Roth, whom Hagar replaced in 1985.

The full interview can be read at http://www.mtvhive.com.

O Space Brother, Where Art Thou?

Juergen-Specht-20080601278

With vaguely optimistic recollections of UFO sightings around Chernobyl at the time of its meltdown, I recalled that some people in the area swore that strange craft appeared, directed beams at the site, and somehow  prevented further catastrophe. While our hearts and sympathies are all with the Japanese people, those on the West Coast can’t help but worry about radiated repercussions beyond that country’s borders.

There is no doubt that whatever radiation released will be downgraded and covered up, that whether or not prevailing winds will carry it to the west coast of the United States, remains to be seen. But to give an idea of how much Californians trust their government and their media, army surplus stores in Los Angeles were already sold out of potassium iodine by Saturday afternoon.

“I lived through seven years with the Marines, three years in Vietnam, I got sprayed with Agent Orange,” barked Mr. Ramirez, proprietor of the Surplus Value Center in Silverlake, when I called to see what he might have on hand. “I’m still here. People are over-reacting.” That may be so, but when was the last time anyone remembers watching video of a nuclear reactor exploding?

I recalled, also, reading about a UFO Museum in Japan, located in some out of the way place. Wouldn’t you know, it was in Fukushima. Maybe I’m deranged for getting teary-eyed looking at some tourist’s photos of the quaint museum this morning… but the naive optimist in me hopes, somehow, that the beings so lovingly recreated inside the octogonal building might shine their beams on what’s left of Fukushima.

After being inundated with images of destruction so horrific as to not be believable, these photos from the museum made me break down completely.

Outside the museum, up a mountain, were statues of various entities, including this one, called “Meira.”

Maybe, just maybe… the Fukushima UFO Museum was located on higher ground. Stupid, I know, to be pining for something so insignificant in the wake of such destruction. But it’s not about the museum. It’s about the people who created it. Am I so desensitized? The horrors of Haiti, of Indonesia, are still with us, but their images are of people and places far away… as are these. But somehow, for me, this little museum puts a much more personal face on things.

I have to go cry now… these photos and more can be found here: http://blog.juergenspecht.com/2009/make-contact-in-the-ufo-contact-museum-in-fukushima/index.html

UN’s Alien Ambassador Could Use a Few Good Men…

About a week ago, I got an email from pal, Brad Steiger. It was in response to a suggestion from the folks at The Gralien Report that the United Nations’ newly appointed “alien ambassador” create a cabinet of sorts; experts to consult on matters extra-terrestrial (and perhaps inter-dimensional). Brad was among those suggested. My immediate response was, of course, let me know if you need an assistant! Here is the original post.

Take Me to Your Leader: Will Earth Have an Alien Ambassador?

by Micah A. Hanks

Since late last week, there has been a ton of news surrounding Mazlan Othman, a Malaysian astrophysicist who, according to some sources, had been appointed by the United Nations as Earth’s “go-to-gal” should a UFO ever land with occupants asking where our “leader” could be found. Othman, whose curious last name, paired along with her first initial, rather serendipitously spells “Mothman” (looks like John Keel was right after all), denies that any such title was awarded her in an official capacity, telling Matthew Weaver at The Guardian via email that, “It sounds really cool but I have to deny it.”

I first received word about all this last week from my partner in crime, Red Pill Junkie, with the astute journal of weekly Forteana The Daily Grail. Though I was, at the time, holed-up on one of the remotest of under-developed southern escapes imaginable–the notoriously-haunted Daufuski Island–I enjoyed the ensuing email exchanges as I received them on my Blackberry. “No way… That’s too weird,” my fellow Center for Fortean Zoology correspondent and renowned Texas cryptozoologist/ufologist Nick Redfern said. Loren Coleman, arguably the most well-versed of Mothman researchers around today since Keel’s passing, pointed out early on that the claims were bunk… but what cannot be refuted is Othman’s position on the UN’s Office for Outer Space Affairs (in addition to her very weird name). If the UN should happen to have anything to do with exopolitical negotiations once E.T. does eventually touch down, Othman might arguably be involved in the ensuing affair. But are there others who might have a say in who would get to speak with aliens under such circumstances? If so, who might these “contact” individuals end up being?

I was rather flattered a few years ago when somebody suggested that a team consisting of a variety of the exopolitical heavy-hitters, with the inclusion of yours truly, might one day make a fitting (and formidable) welcoming committee for newly-arrived aliens. As thrilled as I would be to find myself an envoy on such a mission, I doubt any of the other folks suggested, among them names like Michael Salla and Stephen Greer, would even know who I am. Maybe this has more to do with their relative success compared with that of guys like me, the lowly bloggers in the twilight underworld of Forteana. Or, maybe it shows us something else: that there is a bizarre dichotomy between those researchers who equate everything ufological with government activities and cover-ups, and those of us who feel there is an inherent differential between the two which, in all likelihood, involves far less human understanding in totality.

I recently touched on this during a phone conversation with Stanton Friedman last week. Asking him whether he felt many of the prominent names in the exopolitical movement were onto something, Friedman told me, “These guys don’t check, they believe what they want to believe. Yes, the government’s covering up, but we don’t need to put lies in there… phony stories or anything like that. The truth’s quite good enough.” Pairing this alongside some of the bizarre theories I’ve heard over the years, ranging from ongoing government-extraterrestrial liaisons on remote islands in the south pacific and President Obama being briefed about extraterrestrial presences on Earth, to evil alien plans to harvest our souls and “trees” growing on the moon, it is certainly a bit difficult to “buy” all of the proposed ufological theories out there. What surprises me, however, is that most often I hear these more ridiculous theories being proposed by the guys with PhDs and careers in government.

Does this mean that the individuals who, by virtue of their professional interests, should be more well-respected and legitimate, are actually crazy? Maybe not… but does it point toward yet another conspiracy, where these individuals feed the public disinformation aimed at confusing the general public? I don’t think either of these is the case, really. However, I think it shows us that, sometimes, the academic meritocracy imposed upon us today is somewhat overrated, and that in many instances, a measure of a man’s (or woman’s) intellect shouldn’t be based solely upon the letters that follow that person’s name.

That said, if I had a say in the matter of who would best represent the human species if extraterrestrials landed, I would have to elect Jacques Vallee, with his vast knowledge in computation and mathematics, as well as the aforementioned Stanton Friedman, who has spent years studying (with a healthy dose of skepticism) the UFO phenomenon from an engineering perspective. Brad Steiger, whose research has covered the esoteric sciences in such vast and differed areas that the body of his work seems hardly fathomable, would no doubt also lend a great amount of knowledge and wisdom to the experience. Physicist Micho Kaku, with his youthful sense of wonder and excitement toward the prospect of alien-human contact, in addition to his outgoing personality, would no doubt serve well in such a capacity, also. And finally, the late (but hardly forgotten) futurist Mac Tonnies, who was brave enough to speculate within the confines of terrestrial phenomenon alone, would no doubt have been able to lend knowledge in vast capacities to such an undertaking.

I propose individuals such as these because, rather than being scientists who are somewhat vaguely interested in or familiar with the cultural and political notions surrounding human contact with extraterrestrials, these folks have undertaken all ranges of available data–whether that be science or mere speculation–but almost always that which most directly relates to the growing body of evidence of what appears to be ongoing interaction with alien beings. Though the mainstream scientific community often seems to be somewhat “in the dark” when it comes to such studies, based on the lack of (or outright refutation) of what is accepted as “science” today, these individuals I’ve listed, as well as a host of others, have worked long and hard to take all angles into proper consideration, with hope of painting a more complete and accurate picture in the end. Sadly, it seems that the mainstream scientific establishment is too-often willing to overlook any elements which push the boundaries of our existing knowledge base–boundaries that form walls of limitation around the very tool we’d hope to use to better understand the universe around us.

Is there a remedy to the human act of stifling our understanding of time and space, especially when it doesn’t conform to our preconceived notions? One can only hope there is, or else learn to accept that mankind has truly begun its descent down a rounded slope on the far side of a bell curve, where innovation is caught with no other way to grow except out in every direction, or simply down. Sadly, our continued toying with absurdly out-dated modes of learning, such as SETI’s radio communication systems, etc, seems to indicate that those with the technology and resources that might be better used to understand extraterrestrial intelligences are dancing like a single flame lit upon a candle in the dark, to borrow the famous allusion from Sagan’s magnum opus of skepticism. At present, that candle appears to be flickering… how long, then, before it goes out?

Military UFO press conference censored… here it is!

Just days after the press conference in DC, where a number of retired military officials stated, on the record, that UFOs have been disrupting nuclear facilities, only brief clips could be found on youtube, and a search on CNN.com–which AIRED THE PRESS CONFERENCE LIVE–returns nothing but an old story on Edgar Mitchell and three stories on balloon boy. At an art show this evening, a friend of mine, who is interested in UFOs, expressed his outrage that this story has apparently been buried by U. S. media. I have had an ungodly amount of difficulty reposting all of the videos from nibiru.nl here, so please do us all a favor, and go to the links below. The first is to the press conference in its (near) entirety:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BtmpaM0PqyI

The second is to Steve Bassett’s faboo Paradigm Research Group, which is archiving all the media coverage:

The third is to the Dutch website which has broken up the press conference into multiple videos and added a few extra, international ones:

And just in case the first site gets pulled or shut down by CNN, here are a few more sites which have posted the press conference in its entirety:

Alfred Webre Interviews California Alien

YouTube Preview Image

Jerry Wills is an accomplished musician from California, he is also stands at 6″8 tall. He claims to have been bought to Earth as a newborn aboard a UFO from the Tau Ceti Star System as part of a program called the ‘betterment of Earth’, organised by the “Council of Worlds’. He alleges he used to be visited by aliens yearly and briefed on his mission. However, the last such visit occurred on September 11 2001. He has not been in contact with aliens since then.

He recently granted UFO researcher Alfred Webre of the Exopolitics movement (a group that concerns itself with the political aspect of human interatcion with aliens) an interview (see video below). While Mr Webre does not endorse Mr Wills’ claims he is prepared to consider them.

Many have dismissed Mr Wills’ claims however others, along with Mr Webre, maintain an open mind on the matter.

Mr Wills alleges to have been asked by the aliens that supervise his mission to watch for signs of lasting peace or alternatively war leading up to the year 2012.

what do you think?

UN to appoint Earth contact for aliens

THE United Nations was set today to appoint an obscure Malaysian astrophysicist to act as Earth’s first contact for any aliens that may come visiting.

Mazlan Othman, the head of the UN’s little-known Office for Outer Space Affairs (Unoosa), is to describe her potential new role next week at a scientific conference at the Royal Society’s Kavli conference centre in Buckinghamshire.

She is scheduled to tell delegates that the recent discovery of hundreds of planets around other stars has made the detection of extraterrestrial life more likely than ever before – and that means the UN must be ready to coordinate humanity’s response to any “first contact”.

During a talk Othman gave recently to fellow scientists, she said: “The continued search for extraterrestrial communication, by several entities, sustains the hope that some day humankind will receive signals from extraterrestrials.

“When we do, we should have in place a coordinated response that takes into account all the sensitivities related to the subject. The UN is a ready-made mechanism for such coordination.”

Professor Richard Crowther, an expert in space law and governance at the UK Space Agency and who leads British delegations to the UN on such matters, said: “Othman is absolutely the nearest thing we have to a ‘take me to your leader’ person.”

However, he thinks humanity’s first encounter with any intelligent aliens is more likely to be via radio or light signals from a distant planet than by beings arriving on Earth. And, he suggests, even if we do encounter aliens in the flesh, they are more likely to be microbes than anything intelligent.

Ozzy Osbourne serenades Triangular UFO

Not every Ozzy Osbourne fan was watching the stage while the entertainer sang “Suicide Solution” in Devore, CA, August 14, 2010, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

One fan looked toward the Little Dipper and watched a triangle UFO flying “higher than any conventional aircraft.”

“The shape was triangular with rounded tips,” the witness stated. “The color of the craft was a pale gray. The middle looking on edgewise was slightly rounded and thicker in the middle, which held 3 round lights in a line strobe-like. Colors were green, yellow and pinkish purple. The lights were like a strobe that blinked and flashed 3-5 times before it disappeared behind a tree that it fit behind.”

Witnessing a UFO while watching an event is reported occasionally. We wrote about a February 18, 2010, sighting: Image: UFO hovers over Arlington’s Cowboys Stadium.

The following is the unedited and as yet uninvestigated report filed with MUFON. Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or manmade. If California MUFON investigates and reports back on this case, I will release an update. Please report UFO activity to MUFON.com.

Comment: This strange disclaimer from the author seems rather misguided. What we find with the majority of published reports is that they defy conventional explanation. The explanation that best fits the majority of UFO activity is that of the paranormal. In this sense, trying to find conventional explanations is a wild goose chase.

CA, August 14, 2010 – Ozz Fest UFO seen over Devore. MUFON Case # 25107.
This is a report I received from my daughter whom I shall refer to as Bink. She wishes to remain anonymous.

During the concert Ozzy was playing the song Suicide Solution and the audience was looking at Ozzy. Bink glanced towards the Little Dipper at the time.

A UFO appears away from the stage while everyone (she assumes) was watching towards the stage away from the UFO.

This is the report directly. I collected the report as it was fresh in her mind.

The shape was triangular with rounded tips. The color of the craft was a pale gray. The middle looking on edgewise was slightly rounded and thicker in the middle, which held 3 round lights in a line strobe-like. Colors were green, yellow and pinkish purple. The lights were like a strobe that blinked and flashed 3-5 times before it disappeared behind a tree that it fit behind. Bink said the distance was up higher than any conventional aircraft. The craft made no noise but it flew horizontally then flew up then hovered then shook as it left. Bink recognized that it was unlike anything she had ever seen before and she seen it as it was (a weird UFO). She has never seen anything like this before and it was the first thing she said to me when she got home that night with her Dad who didn’t see a thing. She said “Guess who just saw a freaking UFO” were her words exactly.
