UFOs — the Nighttime Sniffling, Sneezing, Coughing, Aching, Fever Remedy
California, as one might suspect, consistently outnumbers every other state for UFO sightings; add our sacred native sites, a history of megalomaniacal capitalists, tectonic tangos and the phantasmagoric entity known as Hollywood, and you’ve got one bizarre metropolis. (Investigator Nick Nocerino notes that there are more “demonic” entities in Hollywood than anywhere else on Earth. How else do you explain the Smurfs movie?) Preston Dennett is a Renaissance man of the weird: homegrown MUFON field investigator, paranormal researcher, “out-of-body explorer” and the author of 10 books, including the indispensable Supernatural California. Dennett delved into 110 cases where humans had been “cured” of everything from the flu to cancer after their interaction with an unidentified flying whatsit, or its occupants. Tonight, he presents a lecture based on the book and his findings.
“UFO Healings: True Accounts of People Healed by Extraterrestrials” is but one in a long, long line of well-researched monthly presentations hosted by L.A. MUFON, the local chapter of the Mutual UFO Network, which is “dedicated to resolving the scientific enigma known collectively as UFOs.”

Jim Moseley is the Real Deal
Jim Moseley is a true original and a great wit. He’s been covering the UFO beat for more years than you’ve probably been alive, and keep the old school going by continuing to publish his zine, Saucer Smear, a number of future issues can be had for a reasonable donation. He likes Greyhounds and we shared a few at the last (probably ever) NUFOC here in bea-u-tiful yet putrid Hollywood California, in 2004. Recently he appeared on Texas LOWFI head Smiles Lewis’ kickass radio show, PsiOp. To get Mosely’s snail mail addy, and for a link to his radio appearance, please continue reading. I promise you won’t be disappointed. He is rare among Ufology personalities in that he has no agenda.
PsiOp Radio 116 – 100523 with guest James Moseley
Coming up this Sunday night SMiles and Mack are honored to speak with legendary (or at least infamous) UFO investigator and publisher James Moseley. Jim has been investigating and writing about flying saucers (and the circus of beliefs and freaks that surround the subject) for nearly six decades. He publishes what is perhaps the longest running UFO newsletter in the world. Unknown by most UFO “buffs” and maligned by several of his ufological peers, Jim Moseley is an American Treasure – and was once a Treasure Hunter!
Please join us in welcoming Supreme Commander Moseley to the PsiOp-Radio show this Sunday night, LIVE from 7-9pm CST via the ANOMALY RADIO and AMERICAN FREEDOM RADIO networks:

Shockingly Close to the Truth! : Confessions of a Grave-Robbing Ufologist
Jim Moseley’s adult life has been devoted to real estate, pre-Columbian antiquities, and flying saucers (UFOs).
In the late 1950s, Moseley spent a total of about three years living in Peru, where he succeeded in excavating and exporting hundreds, if not thousands, of Inca and pre-Inca artifacts, dating as far back as the pre-Christian era. These were highly artistic objects of ceramic, wood, silver, and gold.
For several years in the 1980s Moseley was proprietor of a pre-Columbian art gallery in Key West, where he sold artifacts from Peru and other South American countries, as well as rare wood carvings from various parts of Africa. In 1992 he donated his remaining Peruvian material to the Graves Museum of Archaeology and Natural History, located in Dania, Florida, near Fort Lauderdale. There they are on permanent display.
Jim Moseley’s other unusual interest through the years has been in UFOs (Unidentified Flying Objects). In this regard he has appeared on countless radio and television shows throughout the United States. In the late 196Oss and early 1970’s, he lectured as an expert on UFOs to over one hundred colleges around the country. Beginning in 1954, he published a semi-professional magazine called SAUCER NEWS, which reached a peak subscription circulation of almost 10,000.
Currently Moseley publishes a UFO “trade journal”, mainly of interest to a few hundred people who make up the “hard core” of flying saucer buffs. Humor and UFO-related gossip are the main characteristics of this non-scheduled newsletter, which is called “Saucer Smear”. This newsletter takes an attitude of benign skepticism toward the more extreme UFO beliefs, and generally reflects the various ways in which Moseley has mellowed in his thinking over the years. To find out just what that thinking is, one would have to become a “non-subscriber” to “Saucer Smear”. There are no subscribers, but donations are warmly welcomed.
