Colorado firefighters hampered by winds, heat — and meteors

Firefighters in Colorado have battled the odds in trying to contain a blaze that has burned uncontrolled across 100 square miles of forest — encountering precarious winds, heat and fatigue.

On Wednesday, they contended with a new force: meteors.

Authorities grounded firefighting aircraft as a precautionary measure after several reported meteor sightings near the High Park fire area they were trying to contain.

Colorado wildfire of ‘epic proportions’ displaces 32,000; tests firefighters

(CNN) — Predicted thunderstorms could complicate efforts Wednesday to tame an explosive wildfire that has already chased some 32,000 residents from their homes near Colorado Springs, Colorado.

The fire doubled in size overnight and by Wednesday morning, 15,324 acres were burning with only 5% contained, said Rich Harvey, incident commander of the Waldo Canyon Fire.

“You saw yesterday as bad a fire behavior as you are going to see anywhere, anytime,” he said, referring to extremely dry, hot and windy conditions. “We expect further trouble from the weather today.”

Thunderstorms seem like a good thing in the midst of hot, arid conditions, but they bring with them strong winds that can gust in any direction. “That will make work for firefighters more difficult,” Harvey said.

Winds gusting to 65 mph through mountain canyons blew the wildfire through containment lines into northwest Colorado Springs on Tuesday afternoon.

Richard Brown, the Colorado Springs Fire chief, described it as a “firestorm of epic proportions.”

An unknown mystery illness has struck five Colorado schools and a Lakewood State Patrol office.  The cause? An unknown unidentifiable odor.

A Youtuber who goes by the name Sheilaaliens has put together the following information on this strange and quickly spreading phenomenon.

After searching tirelessly I have been able to find no updates regarding the November 2011 vortex that was suppose to have opened near the four corners area, in fact the only mentions of the vortex period come from Mr. Dewolf’s original interview on Coast to Coast am.
I had wanted to go there personally on the 11th but due to unforeseen family circumstances I was unable to.

If you’re anything like me and you follow the UFO community here in Colorado, then no doubt you’ve heard the buzz about all the latest sightings being made by a Youtuber who go’s by the name Magnetflipper.

Magnetflipper is a resident of Denver and over the past few months he’s been uploading some rather impressive footage of what could only be described as Unidentified Flying Objects.

Magnetflipper films these sightings with a Xenonics supervision high definition night vision camera, a pricey piece of equipment but one that is definitely worth it, you can see what I mean by checking out his videos.

On April 28th Magnetflipper caught on video an extraordinary light formation in the sky’s over Denver, he calls this formation UFO Space Battle group.

It’s this video in particular that seems to be spreading the fastest across the web, in fact just this morning I again stumbled across it on the UFO Sightings Blog, Photos & Video Evidence, .and then just a moment ago I opened my email to discover yet another article talking about a sighting that Magnetflipper recorded on the 26th of April

So what exactly is it that’s lurking in the Sky‘s over Denver? Is it Alien? Or is it Earthly? Whatever the case may be, one has to admit that it’s definitely interesting and at this point in time unexplainable.

“Tell us a little about yourself” I think that most people would agree that this is one of the hardest things for them to do, and I unfortunately am no exception to this. So where to begin, well, my name is Henry. I’m 33 years old, I’ve lived my entire life in western Colorado, I love it here, there’s no other place that I’d rather live.

I guess that you could say that I’ve been exposed to the paranormal world all of my life, even before I was born, which is an interesting story and one to be told at a later time.
The strange and unknown have always been a part of my life and the reason why I’ve spent the past fifteen or so years investigating them.

I love studying indigenous beliefs which is also the Spiritual path that I follow, being both Native American and Irish has been the influence for this.

I am a graduate of the Global School of Investigation which has been a big help in my research, I had wanted to be a private investigator but found that world to be not as glamorous and exciting as they make it out to be on television.

Paranormal Investigation is my passion and what has drawn me to L.O.W.F.I. I hope to be able to use my skills and knowledge to shed some light on the Fortean phenomenon that’s lurking in the shadows here in Colorado, I also look forward to getting to know all the other Intermediatists who also share this passion for the unknown.
