Los Alamos UFO
Saw my first UFO last night (this last morning), probably an Iridium satellite, at about 5 AM MDT, looking East from Santa Fe Forest, Forest Road 289 (just after Band.) at a cluster of stars that look like a comet to the naked eye, so I was checking with binoculars and BINGO on the “second” check (for some reason I looked again and while marveling off and on comet/cluster) a UFO crossed. Mostly no trail but some times had a one, so I’m think UFO. E-mailed to George Noory and Linda for tonight’s show on Coast To Coast. I was out making a quick camp fire since it was cold (built the prior evening, all I did was start it).

Manta UFOs Sighted Over Rio Puerco, New Mexico July 19, 2009

Along with the tape of a UFO overcoming and disappearing with an Air-Force jet over Tucson, Arizona this month August 8, 2009; Manta-Ray type craft were seen in New Mexico three weeks prior to this event. As a Tucson resident who lives near Davis-Monthan Air force Base in Tucson, I see the same roof-tops, power-lines, and jets every day – the same elements that appear on the UFO/Jet video. Aircraft from around the world come here to fly during the winter and summer months. Our desert resembles the Middle East and it gives the pilots experience with desert flying.
The same day that I saw the Tucson tape, I received a letter from a resident of Austin, Texas who had been camping in New Mexico and had the following sighting:
“I am writing to you because I have been attempting to come to a further understanding concerning a sighting of a Manta- Ray looking UFO in the Rio Puerco valley in N.M. My two friends and I co-witnessed these intelligent seeming craft/entities as low as maybe 1000 ft or so with multi- colored strobing lights on the bottom. It was at night and we were camping out. I am completely stunned at the “reality” of this experience and when I Googled Manta-Ray UFO I found your fascinating article – ” Manta UFOs as Living Creatures and the Nature of Aquatic Cryptids: Paranormal Corridor Southwest”.

Manzano Mountains fire, Manzano Base and Mars Canyon
Not terribly far from my house a fire has been burning in the Manzano mountains. I am not sure how long it has been burning now, but long enough to have burnt 275 acres. It could have been put out days ago, but the DOD (who owns the land) wouldn’t let firefighters in because they said there might be “unexploded ordnances” left over from the 1940s and 50s. Now, days later, they suddenly change their mind. What? Did the unexploded ordnances disappear over night? It seems fishy to me. I kind of wonder what might really have been going on over there and if whatever it was actually started the fire, rather than lightening as they claim.
While I was looking for photos of the fire I came across this page which is a pretty good page about Manzano base. It has several illustrations, like this one -
At first glance it looks right, but having searched the area on google satellite many times there seems to be a lot of missing stuff. Especially a lot of underground storage areas (or whatever those underground thingies are used for) there are a lot more than that map shows. That map makes you think there is only 1 mountain with shafts going underground, but that is wrong. The one shown is the largest and what is known as Manzano Mt, but there are also two smaller ones. Also missing is Starfire Optical Range -

I am wondering how much land is owned by the DOD because the area where the fire is burning is not on that map. It is actually fairly far from the base, meaning there is a lot more DOD land than what people consider to be KAFB and Manzano Base.
Just another strange little thing — the area the fire is burning at in the Manzano Mts is called Mars Canyon. Did the DOD name it that? While there are places in NM that resemble Mars, that area isn’t one of them. It is very green, not desert at all.

Arizona ghost hunter travels: Following the ghostly trail of Billy the Kid part 1
Billy the Kid may have only had one or two photos taken within his life time, but he certainly did leave a paper trail of notable places where he lived, bordered, was jailed, and committed crimes. Maybe the Kid was smart. With little or no photo evidence, it was probably a lot harder to track him down.
But now there is a new six day itinerary tour where Billy the Kid fans can follow the footsteps of one of the West’s well known icons. It covers a lot of western territory that hasn’t changed much from the days Billy the Kid rode through—perhaps that is why his ghost feels right at home at some of these locations. These are just a few places you can visit while following the ghostly trail of Billy the Kid.
The tour of Billy the Kid territory compiled by the New Mexico Tourism Department begins in Silver City, New Mexico. On the NW corner of Hudson St and Broadway—adjacent to the Grant County Chamber of Commerce—is a marker near the site of Billy the Kid’s boyhood home from 1873 to 1874. On the SW corner, you will find a second marker that points out one of the Kid’s foster homes—the Star Hotel. The NE corner was the site of the city jail where Billy the Kid escaped by climbing up and out of the chimney. You can also pay your respects to the Kid’s mother who is buried in Memory Lane Cemetery, two miles to the NE.

Minister Discovers Ancient Race of Giants
Aug. 9, 1899: “With the trophies of his summer’s explorations spread out about him, Dr. Cole has turned his parlor into an anthropological museum. One table is covered with water jugs and incense pipes, the sofa hidden under stone axes, mortars, pestles, weaving shuttles and pottery; another table is decked with a row of grinning skulls and huge crossbones; beneath it comfortably repose all the parts of a skeleton, from the toe bones to the shoulder blades, waiting to be wired together, and strewn about are bows and arrows, baskets, jugs of twisted twigs made water-tight by pitch; modern Indian pottery, photographs by the score, and a hundred-pound stump of petrified wood. The skulls are a particularly valued possession.”
The Rev. George L. Cole of Los Angeles tells amazing stories of a weird, ancient culture that flourished in the cliffs of New Mexico. A race of people 7 feet tall (this grew to 8 feet in later stories) with curious teeth who worshiped the sun and considered the turkey to be a sacred animal. They also played flutes made of pelican bones, Cole said. (Pelicans in New Mexico, eh? I wonder how that happened)

What was it?
I was driving south on Highway 84 at or near Puerto de Luna. It looked to my wife and I as if it was something burning up on reentry. The first part broke into 5 or so pieces rather bright lasting around 30 seconds. The second part was a single glow that was much brighter. The altitude and angle of the object was extremely distant and high. The color was a bright orange like shade. The event occurred about a hands distance from the moon and Venus to the south at about 3 o’clock visually (if you were to hold your hand about 1 foot from your eyes).
Fort Sumner UFO Sighting
My brother and I witnessed the most amazing thing I have ever seen in my 32 years of life!! ant 8:45 pm while Coyote hunting 15 miles north of Roswell, My brother said “look at the UFO!” Due north was a horizontal string of lights around 10,000 ft up and around 60 miles away near Ft. Sumner area. The light were VERY large and VERY bright orange. The city lights of Roswell could be seen to the south, and they were 1/6 of the size of the lights we witnessed to the north. The lights were square/oval shaped and lit up in an easterly direction (Like the front of Knight riders car, best explained)This lasted around 35 seconds then disappeared. 5 minutes later a fighter jet (from Kirkland?) was seen scrambling to the area and headed east around 30,000 ft. I don’t know what it was, but it was HUGE, and I DID NOT BELIEVE UNTIL LAST NIGHT! I used to think people that came to visit Roswell, and seen UFO’s were Idiots, not anymore. My Brother was here visiting from Antlers, Oklahoma, he didn’t believe in this stuff, but now he does. I’m still in shock from what I see. I have lots of experience with aircraft, astronomy. We cant make something that large fly.
N.M. ghost town/bar convincingly earns its title
Rarely does one think of ghost towns in the literal sense. Rather, a ghost town is a place that once housed hundreds, thousands or tens of thousands of residents and now sits either abandoned or home to very few people.Cuchillo, New Mexico is one such ghost town. And though the current population of Cuchillo, located just 15 miles west of Truth or Consequences in Southern New Mexico, is listed as 35, one of itsresidents has suggested that there may be a few more than that, albeitof the supernatural type.Josh Bond is the current owner of the Old Cuchillo Bar and Store. Though a fire in 2000 shut down the bar, Bond has sought to reopen the spot as a microbrewery. However, since he purchased the property more than a year ago and renovated the space that once served as this old mining town’s hotel, frequent paranormal activity has changed his scope.“I hear and see stuff a lot,” Bond said in a recent phone interview with Local iQ about the strange and often unexplainable activity that occurs on a regular basis at this quaint but desolate spot on the map. “Last week I was walking through my dining room and it felt like something brushed up against me and said something in my ear. I have also woken up to hear someone talking in my ear. That was pretty weird.”
