September NM UFO/Paranormal Forum Meeting
I did end up going because we decided to go to the Santa Fe Renaissance Faire tomorrow instead. As always, I was running late. The meeting started at 12:30 and I was leaving my house around 1:00 – just in time to watch 3 black helicopters fly over as I walked to the car.
Well, by the time I got there I had missed Norio’s musical performance and Rebecca was already well into her BVM presentation. I did get to hear her full presentation on the 1973 Coyne Helicopter/UFO case, which was very interesting.
After that another lady shared a sighting she had recently in Albuquerque, involving orb like UFOs. I am hoping to see the photos soon. One of the interesting things about that was that she could see these orbs and photographed them, but the woman with her could not see them.
After that, many of us headed to Applebees to continue gabbing. I have to give big kudos to the Applebees wait staff — they are always so nice and give such good service to our group! This time our waiter seemed more than a little interested in what we were talking about, maybe he will show up at a future meeting. As normal I found myself gabbing away with Mary, Hannah and Abe. It is impossible to chat with everyone at the table — too many of us, though I did manage to chat briefly with a few others.
Lastly and most of all, I want to say how incredibly fortunate I feel to be a member of such a group of individuals! It is not the stuffy organized group where people are “approved” to speak and care more about moving up the ladder than sharing their experiences and hearing about others. These are all people that are genuinely very interested in UFOs (UFOlogy), cryptozoology and various fortean occurrences. Also, much of the credit goes to Mike, he is the one that books the room and makes sure that everyone knows when and where we are meeting. Also, Mary who makes sure that Applebees reserves space for us.
If you consider that about 6 years ago I didn’t know even 1 other person in Albuquerque that was really interested in such things, well, you can imagine how fortunate I feel now.
Man jailed after blood sucking attempt
And he has a tattoo of the virgin Mary! And his name is Jesus! LOL!
A man’s attempt to drink his girlfriend’s blood has landed him in jail.
Albuquerque police say Las Cruces born Jesus Gonzales, 30, was drunk on Sunday night when he tried to suck blood from his girlfriend’s neck.
A criminal complaint made by Gonzales’ girlfriend, who also appeared intoxicated to police, stated that Gonzales was drunk when he arrived to her home on the 1500 block of Gold Ave. SE. The two went out to dinner and when they returned around 11 p.m., Gonzales drank a pint of hard alcohol.
Gonzales’ girlfriend told police the two were lying down in bed when he said to her, “I want to drink your blood,” and bit the left side of her neck, which later appeared the investigating officers as hickeys.
The girlfriend claimed after that, Gonzales went to the bathroom, took a shaving razor and cut his left wrist twice. When she refused to drink his blood, he told her “You’re going to die!” and grabbed some knives in the kitchen. As she barricaded herself in the bedroom for safety, Gonzales allegedly ran outside and broke her bedroom window. She then called police.
Jesus Gonzales, whose tattoos include the Virgin Mary, three crosses, a rosary and the Grim Reaper, was booked into the Metropolitan Detention Center and charged with domestic violence and aggravated assault.
Update: NM UFO/Paranormal Forum Sept. Meeting
Speakers and other info:
To kick off the new season Norio will be getting us started with his Cosmic Music.
Rebecca Minshall will speak on—Marian Apparition Phenomenon that has a New Mexico connection and about the 1973 Coyne Helicopter/UFO case that took place near Columbus where she was a UFO researcher for 25 years. And we should also have time to do some great sharing.
Please see the previous post for date, time and place
Reminder – NM UFO/Paranormal Forum
The next meeting is next Saturday, Sept 18th, 12:30-2:30 at:
Manzano Mesa Multigenerational Center
501 Elizabeth, SE
Albuquerque, NM 87123
As always, Applebees afterwards.
I will probably not be there, as I will most likely be at the Santa Fe Renaissance Fair. It is a hard call, but the Ren Fair is only once a year and there will be plenty more meetings of our local UFO group. Also, the Ren fair has wine, mead and ale. :-)
Breaking News!
Correction — It is just Karyn, Rich is speaking in MA this weekend.
Karyn Dolan says that she and Richard will be at the Paranormal Symposium and Film Festival in Angel Fire, Sept 9-12. I don’t see either of them listed on the speaker list, but possibly ASPE hasn’t updated the site yet or maybe they are just going there for fun. :-) If you can make it to the symposium there are plenty of great speakers like Stanton Friedman and Travis Walton.
The Cry Baby – date line – Albuquerque 1966
The driver described the humanoid being as having super white skin, a long crooked nose, and the blackest long hair he had ever seen.
Sounds like a possible La Llorona sighting to me. Read the rest here.
