Thermal Footage from the BFRO

Kirk B. (a BFRO investigator from Washington State) brought down his FLIR H-series handheld imager for the 2011 BFRO New Mexico expedition, at a remote hotspot in the mountains outside Los Alamos.
During the trip he recorded footage of what some BFRO members believe is a sasquatch watching the camp at night.

Roswell, Stalin & MJ12: A Thickening Plot

Further to my post of yesterday regarding Annie Jacobsen’s new book, Area 51, there’s another bit of data worth reporting on that also has a bearing on the story discussed in her book that has provoked so much controversy in the last few days – namely, that Roswell was a Cold War op initiated by Soviet Premier Josef Stalin and designed to cause “alien invasion”-based hysteria in the U.S.

This additional piece of data comes via the notorious MJ12 documents. I’m not talking about the original documents (the Eisenhower Briefing Document and the Truman memo) that first publicly surfaced in Tim Good’s 1987 book, Above Top Secret, and that shortly afterwards surfaced just about here, there and everywhere.

Rather, I’m talking about the even more controversial collection that came to researchers Dr. Robert Wood and Ryan Wood via UFO researcher Timothy Cooper in the mid-to-late-1990s.

The Best of New Mexico’s Petroglyphs

5/22/11, Sunday
2:00pm — 4:00pm
The Best of New Mexico’s Petroglyphs
Lecture sponsored by the Friends of Coronado State Monument

Mr. Barron “Bear” Haley is a retired community college instructor of Biology, Marine Biology and Botany. After his retirement 10 years ago, he brought his lifelong avocation as a photographer to the study of petroglyphs and the Native American rock art images of New Mexico. Mr. Haley is an award winning member of several rock-art associations including the American Rock Art Research Association. He is also a recorder for the Bureau of Land Management and as such he has been up close and personal with rock art images as he photographs, logs and graphs images that remain as an 8000 year old record of the prehistoric peoples of Las Cruces up through the Rio Grande Gorge. The self-proclaimed “rock-art bum” will present a slide show of rock art images he has studied, many of which are not accessible to the general public, either because they are considered sacred and may be on Native American lands or on undeveloped areas. These signs and symbols speak to us of an ancient past that continues to have significant meaning for current native inhabitants. Please join us for what is sure to be a fascinating and speculative look into the “face-book” of the past. Lecture $5/adult, free to Members of the Friends of Coronado State Monument. Event will be held at The DeLavy House (Sandoval County Historical Society), 161 Edmond Rd, Bernalillo, NM. Located off Rte 550, 1.7 miles west of I-25, Exit 242 (Just west of Coronado State Monument; turn north on the gravel road between the Phillips 66 station and the new IHOP restaurant). The 1945 New Mexico UFO Crash Encounter

sa1Preamble: On August 16, 1945, 20 mile southeast of San Antonio, New Mexico, Reme Baca and Jose Padilla literally stumbled across the remains of what they believe to have been an alien spacecraft. Their personal account of the case displays many of the key ingredients of crashed UFO lore.

Incident: In August of 1945 Jose Padilla and Reme Baca said they were sent out on horseback from the Padilla Ranch in San Antonio New Mexico tasked to check on Jose’s father’s herd of new cows.

What they were sent to do and what they claimed to have experienced was nothing short of what actually occurred to them that frightening afternoon.

With their horses tethered as they hid behind a rock in the distant reaches of the New Mexico desert – Jose 9 and Reme 7 years of age at the time – were awe-struck by the sound of thunder and the grinding thud of something strange that came to earth on the Padilla Ranch in San Antonio New Mexico.

With trepidation tendered by child-like watchfulness they approached the crash site to within 200 yards to witness a craft stuck in rock and sand; its charred 30 foot hull shrouded in dust and burned ash had skidded to rest at the end of a wide plough-like furrow the length of a football field.

Using binoculars they saw strewn wreckage, strange creatures and military activity that would haunt them for days to come and – for the rest of their lives.

Albuquerque, New Mexico and UFO subculture

by Norio Hayakawa:

New Mexico is officially the Land of Enchantment.
However, it seems that there are some who take this state motto almost literally and even believe that it is indeed the Land of Enchantment in more ways than one.

Some even seem to regard New Mexico as a state that has always been (and continues to be) filled with unexplained mysteries, especially when it comes to UFOs and paranormal phenomena.

Of course New Mexico has Roswell, world famous for its alleged 1947 “crash” incident.
What really took place in July of 1947 outside of Roswell no one knows for sure.
Perhaps there may be prosaic explanations to that incident.
But, again, no one knows for sure.

We have also heard about alleged crashes near Corona, also nearMagdalena and in the Plains of San Agustin, all in New Mexico.

The bottom line to me is that whether it really took place or not( i.e., the alleged crash of an “extraterrestrial” spacecraft, as had been so claimed and described by witnesses at that time) is really not what matters the most.

Besides, it seems that we do not have a single publiclyacknowledged solid, tangible, physical, irrefutable documentary evidence that we have ever been (or are being) visited by physical extraterrstrial aliens in physical extraterrestrial spacecraft.

But this does not mean at all that the UFO phenomenon does not exist.
In fact, the UFO phenomenon seems to remain a great mystery, even from time immemorial.
It’s just that we cannot come to any hasty conclusions equating this phenomenon with physical extraterrestrial visitations.
That’s the bottom line.
