Albuquerque, New Mexico and UFO subculture
by Norio Hayakawa:
New Mexico is officially the Land of Enchantment.
However, it seems that there are some who take this state motto almost literally and even believe that it is indeed the Land of Enchantment in more ways than one.
Some even seem to regard New Mexico as a state that has always been (and continues to be) filled with unexplained mysteries, especially when it comes to UFOs and paranormal phenomena.
Of course New Mexico has Roswell, world famous for its alleged 1947 “crash” incident.
What really took place in July of 1947 outside of Roswell no one knows for sure.
Perhaps there may be prosaic explanations to that incident.
But, again, no one knows for sure.
We have also heard about alleged crashes near Corona, also nearMagdalena and in the Plains of San Agustin, all in New Mexico.
The bottom line to me is that whether it really took place or not( i.e., the alleged crash of an “extraterrestrial” spacecraft, as had been so claimed and described by witnesses at that time) is really not what matters the most.
Besides, it seems that we do not have a single publiclyacknowledged solid, tangible, physical, irrefutable documentary evidence that we have ever been (or are being) visited by physical extraterrstrial aliens in physical extraterrestrial spacecraft.
But this does not mean at all that the UFO phenomenon does not exist.
In fact, the UFO phenomenon seems to remain a great mystery, even from time immemorial.
It’s just that we cannot come to any hasty conclusions equating this phenomenon with physical extraterrestrial visitations.
That’s the bottom line.

Alamogordo, New Mexico: UFO Sighted Near Missile Development Ctr Stalls Car Engines; Witness To Be Tested For Radiation
If I am reading this right, this event took place on Nov 4, 1957. That would be just a little over two weeks after this photo of a UFO was taken at Holloman/White Sands.
Vintage Holloman UFO from 1957, not 1964
Last night I was looking through my May, 1961 issue of Flying Saucers magazine and I came across the above photo. I scanned it and then went to google to see if I could find a better version. I did find another version of it:
The original photo was taken Oct 16, 1957, but when I was looking for it using google photos I kept finding it misidentified as a 1964 photo taken by a Holloman employee. Obviously, 1964 is impossible being that I found it in a 1961 issue of Flying Saucers.

Officials say missing Holloman airman is armed and dangerous
KOB Eyewitness News 4 recently learned that officials from Holloman Air Force Base are looking for a missing airman who is considered to be armed and dangerous.
Officials say Airman Phillip Warren, 23, left the base following what they are referring to as an “altercation.”

Authorities ask that anyone who spots the suspect call 911.

The Real Ravens are not Triangles
The sighting story posted in the previous post, lead me to do a quick search for a stealth craft called “The Raven.” I found that there is an aircraft made by Grumman that is called The Raven. However, it is not a large triangle as you can see in the photo below:

Also, the UK has a Stealth Drone called The Raven, but it also is not a large triangle:

That said, there was nothing in the sightings report that makes me think this was one of the huge silent triangles seen by numerous people around the world. Likely, it was just a stealth fighter which are triangle shaped, but not to be confused with the huge silent triangles that can hover and which are still unidentified.

Description:
Was on state hwy 54 headed south. Saw a Black Triangle at about 700 ft altitude flying northwest towards Holloman AFB. I could not tell its exact size but I believe its around the size of a fighter jet. I told several friends about this, one of which knows several Airmen. The airman said it was not a UFO but the replacement for the F-117. They call it “the raven”. Now we know. Those arent ufo’s, they are America’s latest stealth birds.
