Strange Objects Photographed in Upper Atmosphere over New Mexico
I wanted to see if I could capture some photos of the Leonid Meteor shower so I went to the end of a dark road, which falls at the fence of Kirtland Air Force Base.
I set up my camera and immediately noticed a “star” traveling from East to West at an exceptionally fast rate.
All of a sudden it changed direction (to NE).
I thought it was a plane at first, then realized it was traveling at a very high rate of speed. All of a sudden, it stopped and began bouncing around in the sky.
The second “UFO” that I witnessed was mistaken for Mars until it began bouncing around in the sky as well. This is not the first time I have witnessed this.
In June of this year myself, a friend, and her 12 year old daughter watched something bounce all over the place in the sky for more than an hour and a half.
I have audio of that event (just our conversation and reactions). I have seen this a total of three times since June of 2011. The first time I witnessed these “stars” bouncing around in the sky I felt immediately awestruck, excited, and was in disbelief that I was watching this happen.
Then my excitement turned to fear, and eventually I was grateful to have seen what I did. Following that sighting I was constantly looking to the night sky to see if I would witness another “UFO.”
I eventually stopped obsessing over it because it seemed like it wasn’t going to happen. Then, a few months later I saw another one and was excited that it happened again and that I could show the “proof” to my friend who was skeptical of my first account.
When I witnessed the same thing the other day I was very calm and determined to finally get some “proof” with my camera. All of these events cause me to have a slight fear of “what if they know I’m watching and do something to me.”
But I don’t feel that I am in any kind of danger. I figure if something were going to happen to me it would have happened by now.
I’m very intrigued, and just wonder what it is that is happening and what they are doing.
Thanks to UFO Casebook – I had missed this one.
Trail-cam weirdness
One of my birthday presents this year was a trail cam. I have wanted one for quite a while, though I am not entirely sure why. Anyhow, for the past couple days we have had it down by the gate.
I have brought it in a few times and downloaded the photos, but there was nothing interesting on them. Yesterday I noticed it had over 350 photos and I had just downloaded and deleted the night before. When I viewed the photos there was a strange anomaly.
This is the view we had set the camera to film:
I set the clock wrong, so instead of it being 18:40 (or 6:40 pm), it was 6:40 am and it was Nov 30, not 29. It took 3 photos then. I have no idea what set off the motion detector, but it was probably the wind. It must have been a pretty strong wind because in the next photo taken a minute later the camera angle had moved:
There is no way anyone could have moved it because Britton and I were both asleep and anyone else would have had to come through the gate and would have been caught by the camera.
Then at about 9 am the camera is triggered and starts taking photos of what I think is the sky:
It takes about 28 blanks shots like that. Then about 15 minutes later something starts to appear (I don’t know if whatever it was is what triggered the camera or the wind):
It is just coming into view there (if it was even an object) and over the next 220 or so photos, this thing very slowly over about 3 1/2 hours moves across the frame.
It is in every single frame and if you scroll through them all quickly it is like watching a flying saucer movie. It never moves up and down or in a shaky fashion it smoothly sails (at what would have been an incredibly slow speed) across the frame area until it is gone. After it disappears the camera stops taking photos for an hour, then it takes 3 shots of nothing and later another 3 shots of nothing.
Camera anomaly? Flying saucer? I wouldn’t think something high in the sky would be able to trigger the motion detector. A tiny earth orb that moves really slow? LOL! I have clue what it is.
Old and Fortean Jemez Springs, pt 2
We made a couple of night stops at the old cemetery. Really, I didn’t get any ghostly feeling there. It was a very calm place, like everyone was at peace.
On the other hand…
This house really caught my attention. It seemed to be abandoned and when I checked with locals that was the case. Apparently whoever had been living there just disappeared and they have no idea what happened to that person or if the house will eventually be put up for sale. The house was only two buildings down from our hotel. One night we sat on the porch there (there are chairs and a table out) at 2 am. This was before I asked about the house and Britton thought that someone must live there because he could feel someone watching us from inside, I had the same feeling. It was a very spooky place, but not really in a bad way. I felt no danger sitting there. The photo I took also had lots of orbs in it. You can see the full sized pic here.
That is Soda Dam, which is just esoteric looking, whether or not there are any spirits hanging around.
Alien Ale
I was at Trader Joe’s yesterday and noticed that they had Roswell Alien Ale. I didn’t buy any because it is probably some evil plot by the aliens. I did snap a photo though and a few people in TJ’s looked at me like I was totally weird, but I am used to that.

Description:
I watched the late new’s and saw the weather report 5-3-10 , the following day was going to be windy, I had to go outside to move my Bonsai tree’s to a location that they wouldnt be damaged by tommorrow’s wind. when I went outside to do so, just before 11pm I Looked up at the night sky and noticed an object to the west of my house hovering and changing color , I thought it strange and thought i would run inside my house and grab my camera with my long 400mm-800mm len’s and my tripod to view this object better. I ran back outside and set up my camera, the object remained in the same place for some 7-8 minutes without any movement or sound. I took 1 photo of it in this position( See photo titled UFO photo #1 )., then the object seemed to rotate around , as if it were going to move in another direction, I took 1 more photo ( see photo titled: UFO turned #2 ) , as I backed off my camera len’s to get a longer/wider view, the object took off south in direction at an alarming speed, I managed to snap the last photo as it left ( see photo titled: UFO leaving ) These photo’s were long exposure’s because of the low light condition’s which saturated the colors more than normal , but they are suprisingly clear , and you can see distant star’s in the background’s with NO motion blur. I Live 8 mile’s from a Air Force military instalation, so this object could be a black op’s project , but from the photo’s and the speed involved in my sighting I can easily say , it is like nothing ive ever seen..Really a strange night, but also exhilerating.

Pooka and Me: Our Paranormal Day, part 2
So up in Cedar Crest (a small mountain community) which is just a few minutes east of Albuquerque, right off the main highway is a little cemetery. I remember many years ago my sister asked someone about it and they said it was a Pet Cemetery. It was only a few years back when someone mentioned to me a relative of theirs being buried there that I realized it wasn’t a Pet Cemetery. During the nice months of the year we sometimes take Pooka up to Cedar Crest for hamburgers at Burger Boy, which is only a building away from the cemetery. We sit outside and eat and often I stare at that little cemetery and think that some day I will walk over there and have a look around, but I never did until yesterday.
It is a very small cemetery but it is kept up very well. No weeds covering the graves and they are always decorated with bright plastic flowers and other things. I assume that there is a caretaker that lives in the little house next to it, but maybe not.
I decided to not actually enter the cemetery because I had Pooka with me and if there was a caretaker they might possibly get angry about my dog maybe peeing on a grave. :) The Ramones Pet Cemetery kept playing in my mind and I sang along under my breath as we walked around. Most of the graves that I could see dated from the late 1950s – 1970s. Some were newer, but I didn’t see any older than that. I took some photos and then Pooka and I decided our adventure day was over and we would go home because she was getting very hot out in the sun.
Two of the photos I took have this misty type effect in only one area of the photo, which I thought was kind of strange. One of those photos also had two blue orbs in it.

The large full photos are here (that one also has the blue orbs) and here. I suppose someone could think that mistiness is due to a smudge on the lens, but the photos before and after those don’t have it and I didn’t clean the lens so it should have been it the photos I took after. Possibly it is something to do with the way the sunlight is hitting that area.
The only other thing I thought was strange while I was there (though not necessarily the least fortean) was this strange tombstone:

The full photo is here. I couldn’t read any of the other writing on the tombstone except Monster. Strange stone too, it was actually a stone with the middle part cut out of it and what seemed to be some sort of clearish film in the window (dirty glass maybe?). I am going to go back without Pooka next week so I can go inside and get a closer look.
Pooka and Me: Our Paranormal Day, part 1

Yesterday, Pooka (pictured above) and myself decided to do some paranormal investigating – just like Shaggy and Scooby. First we went to “haunted hill” where supposedly there is a cave where a man used to kill and dismember women. At night people report hearing voices, bodies being drug across the ground and sometimes they see a light which resembles a lantern in some cases, in others it is just an eerie red light. L.O.W.F.I.’s Andy Colvin visited haunted hill when he was here in Albuquerque and you can read about that here. There were actually quite a lot of people out hiking the trails for 3 pm on a work day, but no ghosts that we saw. We also did not see a cave or at least not what I would consider a cave. There was a strange bunch of rocks that were marked with white paint, not graffiti, just a large spot of white paint. Within those rocks was a small opening where you could imagine that someone could take shelter during a rain storm, but it wasn’t what I would call a cave.

I have been to haunted hill at night too, but I didn’t stay long and didn’t see any weird lights. However, being there during the day I looked for anything like light reflectors that might make someone think they are seeing a light and I didn’t see any of those either.
As for the story itself, I and nobody I know of that has ever looked into it has found any evidence of a serial murderer killing women there. Although, it does seem that this story has been around for a long time. I can remember my grandmother telling me as a child about a man that killed women there in the foothills as a warning not to get into cars with strangers.
If anyone is interested, Albuquerque Ghost Hunters did an investigation and picked up some EVPs, you can find out about that here. I don’t think that is the same “cave” that I photographed. I saw several similar type “caves” but assumed it was that one since it seemed to be marked so people would know.
After Pooka scared away all the ghosts by peeing on every little bush that we passed we decided to go somewhere else and headed up to Cedar Crest, along the Turquoise Trail, to a little tiny cemetery. More about that in part 2.

Description:
I was walking along Main Road, Roswell, on my way to find some dinner. I was walking in the direction away from the heart of Roswell. At approximately 5.30pm I saw an object travelling through the sky which at first I thought to be a balloon. It seemed to be as small or maybe a touch bigger than a ballon but as it came nearer I noticed it was not a balloon. It appeared greyish/metallic/aluminum in colour and travelled at a good speed in a straight line though with a bobbing/rocking motion. I took two photographs with my camera on full zoom. The camera is a Canon PowerShot S200. I could only take two quick snaps as my battery had died and I did not have a charger. Any idea what this could be?
