I was walking along Main Road, Roswell, on my way to find some dinner. I was walking in the direction away from the heart of Roswell. At approximately 5.30pm I saw an object travelling through the sky which at first I thought to be a balloon. It seemed to be as small or maybe a touch bigger than a ballon but as it came nearer I noticed it was not a balloon. It appeared greyish/metallic/aluminum in colour and travelled at a good speed in a straight line though with a bobbing/rocking motion. I took two photographs with my camera on full zoom. The camera is a Canon PowerShot S200. I could only take two quick snaps as my battery had died and I did not have a charger. Any idea what this could be?

I spent Halloween Evening in the little town of Madrid, NM.  Madrid is a great place to spend Halloween for many reasons, but chief among them — the ghosts.  Madrid is an old mining/ghost town.  In my photo I was actually trying to get a photo of the ghoul decoration hanging from the ceiling and I got all kinds of ghostly orbs too. :)  Shouldn’t be a surprise because the Mine Shaft is known to be haunted:

But the most haunted of all places in Madrid is said to be the Mine Shaft Tavern. Though it burned down on Christmas Day, 1944, Madrid’s town father, Oscar Huber, rebuilt the tavern for the many coal miners of the area. It reopened in 1947 and has been open ever since. Some remodeling of the old saloon was completed in 1982; however, no changes were made to its historic bar — the longest bar in New Mexico. Today, this historic saloon continues to serve the many visitors along the Turquoise Trail.

Staff as well as guests have often seen glasses fall from their perches and crashing to the floor in bits and pieces. Doors are often seen opening with unseen hands and swinging back and forth. From the six inch thick adobe walls, mysterious sounds are often heard and after closing hours, numerous objects and furnishings are moved about. However, the most unsettling reports are the stories told by staff of looking in the mirror and instead of seeing their own reflections, they see a ghost.

Along with the tape of a UFO overcoming and disappearing with an Air-Force jet over Tucson, Arizona this month August 8, 2009; Manta-Ray type craft were seen in New Mexico three weeks prior to this event. As a Tucson resident who lives near Davis-Monthan Air force Base in Tucson, I see the same roof-tops, power-lines, and jets every day – the same elements that appear on the UFO/Jet video. Aircraft from around the world come here to fly during the winter and summer months. Our desert resembles the Middle East and it gives the pilots experience with desert flying.

The same day that I saw the Tucson tape, I received a letter from a resident of Austin, Texas who had been camping in New Mexico and had the following sighting:

“I am writing to you because I have been attempting to come to a further understanding concerning a sighting of a Manta- Ray looking UFO in the Rio Puerco valley in N.M. My two friends and I co-witnessed these intelligent seeming craft/entities as low as maybe 1000 ft or so with multi- colored strobing lights on the bottom. It was at night and we were camping out. I am completely stunned at the “reality” of this experience and when I Googled Manta-Ray UFO I found your fascinating article – ” Manta UFOs as Living Creatures and the Nature of Aquatic Cryptids: Paranormal Corridor Southwest”.

This is a photo of a cylindrical craft I took yesterday.  That was kind of strange (though not really for me), but what is strange now is that I tried to crop it so that the object would be larger when I posted it here because it is too large to post here (it is scaled down by half), but whenever I try to crop it more it blurs the object into a fuzzy ball.  I have never had that happen before and can’t figure out why it is happening now.  It isn’t that great of a photo because the object was rather far off by the time I got my camera, but you can see the full sized cropped section here.

Anyhow, this is the story — I saw the object and got my camera and took a few photos, this was the best one.   It was heading south and I decided to watch to see if it would turn a bit west and maybe land at Kirtland because then I would pretty much know where it came from.  As I watched it seemed to fade away and then reappear a couple times, but then it just totally disappeared.  Disappearing objects are nothing new here,  but it kept me from knowing if it did turn west and go towards KAFB.

So I went up on the roof and set up my video cam (with a IR lens, using night mode) on a tripod facing the area where I had seen the white glowing orb, red orb and where the plane disappeared.  I sat there watching the area and filming for about 10 minutes.  I was disappointed because nothing else strange seemed to happen in that area.

However, later when I reviewed the video I found the part in the video above.  That video is slowed down as much as imovie would allow, so you can imagine how fast they were moving and you can also view the original video here.  The objects weren’t in very many frames, but here are some of the frame grabs I got -

Those are in no real order because imovie does not let you go frame by frame and so I had to grab them wherever I could find them.

I do know 1) they were not birds or planes because I purposely kept an eye out for those things so they wouldn’t be mistaken for something unknown.  2) there was absolutely no wind, so there was nothing being blown across the viewing area.

I suppose they could be insects, but they really don’t look anything like insects.

Anyhow, I was really happy to finally pick something up using the IR set up and plan to continue experimenting throughout the summer and I ordered some different editing software that will hopefully be better than imovie.

Yesterday, as every afternoon when the weather permits, I took my coffee and went outside with my cat Lady Kanga.  Kanga was traumatized as a kitten by sneaking out and being locked out all night on a cold night.  Since then she will only go out with me.  Britton joined us out there and we were talking when I caught sight of a glowing white orb in the sky.  I pointed it out to Britton, he was very excited, I see them quite often, but he doesn’t look for them and therefore never sees them.  This is what we saw:

It is a bit blurred.  I assume that is because I didn’t have a tripod.  It looked to us like a perfect white ball and it was moving slowly and silently across the sky.  I took 3 photos of it, they are all basically the same.  Britton had me go in to get my video camera.  As I was turning my video camera on Britton told me “it disappeared.”  He didn’t understand how it could just disappear, but I know that often happens and not just with UFOs as he would soon find out.

Right about then came an unmaked white plane, basically following the same flight path.  Britton was watching it, assuming it was following the object we had just seen.  A little while later he was amazed when the plane disappeared in the same spot where the UFO disappeared.  I was not so amazed.  I have had planes disappear before too.

Not even a minute after that I notice a cigar shaped white object flying to the south.  I had the video camera, but I must have forgot to push the rec button because it wasn’t on the video.  No matter, I think it was too far off by the time I saw it to have got any good video.

Then not more than a few minutes later I see a red orb in the same area where the white orb and plane disappeared.  My camera was only a few feet away, but by the time I got it the object had disappeared.  Quite honestly, the last object struck me as being a large balloon, rather than a controlled object, but I have no idea why anyone would be releasing a balloon that large in that area.

It was at that time I decided that I would go up on the roof where the view of the sky is better and set up my video camera with the IR lens.  My experiment finally yielded some results!  I will tell you about that in part 2 because I still have some video editing that I want to do.
