Thanks, Zach. Yes, Vallee has certainly influenced my ruminations, as well. I would certainly list “Passport To Magonia” and “Messengers of Deception” as must reads for anyone who wants to delve deeper into the subject beyond the typical “little green men from outer space” pattern you note.

Another UFO researcher along the lines of Keel worth mentioning here is Jacques Vallée, whose books are fabulously entertaining because they catalog some of the weirder UFO cases that don’t fit the conventional “little green men from outer space” pattern. Vallée also points out that in a lot of cases the UFOs seem to interact with their observers in crazy, often ironic ways.
