Vintage UFO Goes Psychedelic: The NorCal-Oregon LOWFI Connection
Just the other day, I received the following newsflash from my friend Zamora, The Torture King in regards to retro UFO’s…
The following links are of two of the earliest movie and TV representations of flying saucers. The first is a trailer for the movie The Flying Saucer which is said to be the first fiction film about flying saucers. It is also supposed to be tied in with some of the info that got into Frank Scully’s book Behind the Flying Saucers.
The second is something I stumbled upon, an episode of one of the first science fiction TV series that used flying saucers as a plot element and even has a reference to a crashed saucer and a guy who claims to have debris from the crash site.

After receiving the above info in an email, I forwarded it to Regan Lee, your beloved LOWFI Oregon Bureau Chief as well as proprietor of the Vintage UFO blog as I thought this would be of interest to her. It should be noted that Regan and I email very infrequently, and it had been quite some time since we had exchanged emails, as I had sent the above retro UFO related info to her at the spur of the moment. Shortly thereafter I received a followup email from Regan, which seemed indeed synchronistic given the timing:
Re: Fw: Flying Saucers from Hollywood in the Early 50s
| Thanks Adam. This will sound weird, but it’s true. I had a dream last night with you in it; we were watching an old flying saucer/monster movie and you were pointing out the “so bad it’s good” features of the flying saucer monster trying to disguise itself as a normal earth vehicle, instead it appeared as a psychedelic painted semi with multi colored feathers. . . seriously.
Take care, |

A flash from the past, good flick! The sightings are increasing swiftly like the crop circles and real 2012 info. The debunking really needs to cease.
Here it is straight up:
That was the single coolest dream I’ve heard about
or experienced in years.
