I have a new post at UFO Mystic, about UFOs, beams of light, missing time, cover memories, you know, the usual. This is about a sighting — or, sightings — my husband and I had several years ago.

Just when one might think the case of the keening glowing metal boxes is over, well, not yet.

At the annual Yachats art fair, artist Leo D’Alessandro will present a metal box:

Maybe I’m being too snarky. I don’t know the artist, or have seen his work. I’ll try to make it to the art show if I can.

Another post on my Orange Orb blog about the mysterious boxes on Oregon beaches: Stonefield, Bray’s Point.  With video clip from someone who believes the whole thing is a hoax, and isn’t afraid to say so.

I’m very curious about this case of the keening boxes on Oregon beaches. For one thing, it’s an excuse for me to get out to the coast — research, you know.

I never thought for one moment that these glowing, screeching, impossible to open boxes buried deep in the sands contained aliens. Or came from UFOs.

The story goes: boxes, heavy, impervious to tools, glowing, weird noises, appearing on beaches said to be heavy with UFO activity. Who can resist a story like that? I’m interested in the story as a story, the insistence of those telling the story that there’s UFO affected activity afoot, that residents have been awakened to terrible wailing noises, and all the rest of it. Persistence in the telling is what intrigues me. ~ rest at Orange Orb.

(I was just contacted by someone who said they had seen these boxes on California beaches, and she felt that boxes she had seen are related to the ones in Oregon. I’m awaiting details.)

At first look it seems very likely these boxes are debris from Japan. But there is the typical “wait there’s more” anomalous elements that ties these boxes in with UFOs, at least according to the this article. Referring to the photo accompanying the article of one of these boxes at Bray’s Point, Oregon, it’s noted the boxes have been seen before:

The photograph that accompanies this report – taken during the afternoon of Feb. 8 near Bray’s Point — of yet another strange metal box stuck in the surf up is one of a possible group of a dozen or more that have been sited up and down West Coast beaches. Meanwhile, the British government also photographed similar huge metal boxes on beaches in Sri Lanka in the late 1990’s and in early 2004 and 2005. The discovery of the boxes is detailed in updated previously classified reports from the British government that document sightings of unidentified flying objects by both the military and the general public dating back to the 1950s.

According to the coastal UFO researchers, there’s been an increase in UFO sightings recently, coinciding with the boxes.

The boxes are heavy — “not movable” — ring, or hum, glow, and coincide with UFO sightings.
While I have no idea what these are of course, it seems irresponsible to go up to these boxes and touch them or attempt to move them.

Zach Griggs leases pastureland for nearly 100 head of cattle near 3000 South in Teton County. Last Thursday, he arrived at this location to change the use of pastures and noticed his cows were scattered. He initially thought duck hunters had disturbed his cattle and then he noticed that one of his cows was dead.

He approached the animal and identified that its udders were removed, along with its anus, vagina and one eye. “Whoa, this is a mutilation,” Griggs determined before he called law enforcement to investigate. Nine years ago, his family had lost a bull the same way. Along with its genitalia, that bull was missing its tongue as well as an eye and an ear. With both the cow and the bull, all of the blood had been removed from the animal and there were no footprints or tire tracks in the vicinity of the dead animal.

Teton County Sheriff’s Deputy Blake Fullmer could confirm that the cuts removing the cow’s body parts were not made by another animal, but it has been difficult to find any additional clues in the case to help explain what happened. Between Satanic cults and extraterrestrial activity, Fullmer was not comfortable making a determination.

“It’s hard to throw those terms out there,” Fullmer said. “I don’t know a lot about that stuff.”

Cattle mutilation is a subject with which Don Griggs, Zach’s father, is very familiar. As a cattleman as well as a former sheriff’s deputy with Madison County for more than 20 years, Don worked on a number of different cases in which animals were mutilated in the exact same manner, with blood drained from the bodies and the same parts removed with a surgeon’s precision.

“It’s a cult thing, has to do with devil worship,” Griggs said. “These people are very professional, they’re slick and sophisticated. No one has ever been caught, but that doesn’t mean that it’s UFOs.”

The day before yesterday all four of our cats were behaving very strangely. I even said to Jim that I wondered if there was an earthquake coming soon, because they were just so “off” — not their usual routine.Very agitated and confused, literally walking in circles sometimes. (In a weird way, not the usual that’s what cats do way.) Each cat has their own personality and what bothers one may not bother the other, but that day, they were all just crazy. Well, turns out there were earthquakes, several,  in the area: the Eugene (where I live) and surrounding area, sort of I-5 corridor, extending to the North up towards Portland area, which is about 100 miles from Eugene, and to the south, near Medford:

I’ve begun a new project. Not sure yet how I’ll end up doing this; interactive, as Nancy Birnes suggested, e-book, Kindle, self-publish, blog, pay per installment…so many options. I think, however, that it will be in a sort of journal format, fairly traditional in terms of publishing (e-book/Kindle/self, or through a publisher) with segments posted here at The Orange Orb.

So here it is, working title: Entering the Orb: A Couple’s Journey into Missing Time, Screen Memories and UFOs.

Jim and I have decided, spontaneously and independently of each other, to go through some kind of regression and retrieval process to find out what happened during our missing time experiences. We’ve agreed that we would not share what we found out about our own experiences until all the work has been done. We don’t know yet if we would see different people, or the same person. If we saw the same person, there’s the possibility that person would be unconsciously influenced by the both of us.  Than again, maybe not.

A lot of this is absolutely trust based. How can we prove to others that we’re telling the truth when we say we won’t discuss with each other what’s been discovered, until it’s all done? We can’t.

There’s also a large issue of vulnerability here. Some possible causes for the missing time episodes are obvious — as in, oh my god they really were Reptilian Overlords. Other reasons concern memory. As you’ll see in my next post, Jim and I have very different memories of one of our missing time events. Clearly, one of us is wrong. So why the difference in memories? And if it turns out the cause for missing time isn’t UFO related, alien related or some other esoteric or metaphysical cause, then what, and why? Are we unstable? Did someone drug us? (If so, why, and that’s certainly scary on its own.) I could handle any of those, (I think) but what I don’t think I could handle is the possibly we made it all up. Unintentionally of course, but made up nonetheless. If that is so, why in the world would we do so? That in itself is intriguing.
