This hospital has been investigated by several paranormal teams since it first was opened to the public for paranormal investigations.  The past paranormal teams that have investigated the hospital, the public, and the staff have all reported encountering or hearing about haunted paranormal activity within the hospital.

This old hospital was closed to the public several years ago and then sat abandoned for twenty years.  A lot of the original hospital equipment is still in the building.  Graveyard Shift Paranormal Investigations traveled to the hospital in July 2009 as to validating many claims of the haunted paranormal activity.  We conducted a very controlled all night paranormal investigation.  Even though investigators on this team are very experienced having done hundreds of private client and public paranormal investigations over the years, we were shocked by what we saw and encountered in the hospital that night.  We were so shocked by the extreme haunted paranormal activity that we made the first paranormal documentary “Raising The Ghosts of Yorktown Memorial Hospital” of our very exciting investigation that night.  Our paranormal documentary DVD is now available for sale at our website thegraveyardshiftparanormal.com for a very reasonable price $18 plus tax and shipping through secure Paypal.  All the haunted paranormal activity we experienced that night is on our paranormal DVD for you to look at.  Our paranormal team confirmed that the hospital is indeed very haunted as to paranormal investigation standards.

You will have the opportunity to learn from our very experienced research team as to what paranormal investigation is all about.  We will teach you everything we know and how we use all of our equipment.  Investigators on this team again have conducted or participated in hundreds of private and public paranormal investigations.  We will have all of our paranormal equipment set up that night for your use.  You can also bring your own investigation equipment to use if you wish.  We may even learn some new paranormal investigation techniques from you.

Penny LeLeux of TheRecordLive.com did a brief but interesting Question & Answer session with Ghost Lab investigator Brad Klinge in which she asked some interesting questions like “What effect has reality TV had on your investigations” and “What’s the most unusual or startling piece of evidence you’ve recorded to date“:

 Brad: Everything is startling in its own way.  Obviously, the Gettysburg soldiers were the most vivid.  We have caught photographs of solid human forms as if someone was in the room with you such as what we call “The French Guy” at the Institute of Texan Cultures in SA or “the bartender” at the Harlequin Theater in SA.  We have clear, vaporous shadow forms of children moving in and out of a bedroom at the Myrtles.  We caught a chair moving on video.  We caught a shadow person on thermal that allowed us to study the temperature phenomenon associated with paranormal activity.  Our library is quite extensive.
