Wow! Weird news right next door in Elgin, Texas. A local rancher discovers all his cattle dying, apparently from cyanide gas given off by hybrid grass! WTF?!?

Meanwhile … KEYE tv has apparently memory-holed their original coverage of the story – the article and video at the link below are now as mysteriously gone as the cattle mysteriously died. They have posted a new article and video and have stated that they will continue to cover this important news.

Of course in the meantime we can count on Austin’s own Alex Jones for commentary on this developing story…

FREEPORT, Texas — It’s the catch of a lifetime, but it’s not clear whether a Texas fisherman landed an 8-foot shark or it landed him.

Twenty-nine-year-old Jason Kresse of Freeport says he and two crew members were dumping fish guts in the Gulf of Mexico about 3:45 a.m. Monday when they heard splashes in the distance and then something hit the side of their 25-foot boat.

A shark in an apparent rush to feed had jumped into the back and was thrashing around. Kresse says the crew couldn’t get close to the 375-pound fish to toss it back in the water.

It died several hours later.

The shark is on display at a seafood business in Freeport, about 55 miles south of Houston. Kresse says he plans to have it mounted.

Mysterious Lights Over East El Paso

Above the skies of Northeast and East El Paso, Friday night a sight that was a little more than stunning.

Video, captured by one of our photographers shows one solitary light that appears to be falling in the sky. That light suddenly breaks apart and into three separate lights.

Those lights then seem to freeze in the air and just hover.
Eventually a fourth light can be seen and the lights appear to be hovering around each other. Then they all disappear.

We are told that Airsho pilots were performing manuevers Friday night and the lights were likely part of that.

On the eve of British Cryptozoologist Jonathan Downes’ visit to Texas in search of the Texas Blue Dogs (aka Chupacabras) East Texas neighborhoods were abuzz over sightings and tracks of a what some think could possibly be a mountain lion on the loose.

BEN WHEELER, TX (KLTV) – An East Texas farmer says something is on the prowl on his land and he has a picture to prove it. Chuck Arena snapped a photo of a large, fresh paw print he found on a pile of clay.

“When I saw this claw print, it definitely wasn’t a hog, it wasn’t a dog, it was something big,” said Arena.

“When I first saw it the first thing I did was like, ‘Ok, that’s pretty fresh,’ and I started looking around,” he said.

“I think it is a mountain lion,” said Arena.

Just down the road, Christine Clements says she has come face to face with one several times.

Still unsure what this print is, we took it to Game Warden Chris Green. He says the pad shape looks more like a large dog.

“Not to say that he didn’t see a mountain lion, I’m just not sure that right there is a mountain lion track,” explained Green.

But, he says because of an abundant food source of deer and pigs, big cats are on the move in East Texas.

“I think we’re seeing more and more…We didn’t used to hear about so many sightings of these big cats, but we have just in the last five years,” said Green.

At least Arena doesn’t have a bigfoot on his hands.

“Bigfoot is up by Caddo Lake is where they’ve sighted those,” said Arena.

But these prints remain a little mysterious.

“I definitely feel there’s things out in these woods that we don’t know,” he said.

Game Warden Green says mountain lions, or cougars, have even been spotted near city limits. They are nocturnal, feeding at night or early morning hours. He says if you see one, don’t panic, simply back away slowly.

Something on the prowl in East Texas neighborhood – KLTV 7 News Tyler, Longview, Jacksonville

A few days ago I got an email from Ken Gerrard about recent bigfoot sightings just down the road from Austin in my birthtown of San Antonio:

Last night – November 30th, police on the west side of San Antonio received a 911 call from multiple eyewitnesses who claimed that they saw a hairy, hominid standing over six feet tall, run out of the woods and kill a deer. The incident was reported to the local media and broadcast earlier today. The witnesses were apparently homeless and responding officers who interviewed them found them to be completely sober and rational, though understandably scared. The police chose not to search for the creature. I have just returned from a stake out of the area, which is located at the intersection of Loop 1604 and highway 151, about ten miles from where I live. The area is somewhat developed, although fairly wooded and located near several creeks. Most of the area is private property and is fenced with barbed wire. Obviously I was not about to trespass and I’m still not 100% sure of the exact location of the incident. Reporter Joe Conger from Eyewitness News did visit the exact spot earlier today and told me there were some animal bones present. I plan on returning there with him tomorrow to look for tracks and other evidence. Best Wishes All!
